Achieving Scope 3 Targets Through Engagement

Private equity firms have developed a clear playbook to reduce their portfolio companies’ scope 1 and 2 emissions, but decarbonising value chains is far more challenging as it rests on actively engaging suppliers and other value chain actors. Baringa has partnered with the Initiative Climate International’s (iCI) Scope 3 Decarbonisation Working Group to deliver a series of educational webinars on Scope 3 emissions. In this session we:

– Discussed different methods a company can use to reduce their Scope 3 emissions through engagement with their value chain

– Provided best practices and helpful tools to help engage with suppliers and customers
