Employee Wellbeing has been brought in to sharp focus over the last two years. In this Interview Marc Harris and Katharine Moxham discuss how the Group Risk sector has responded with much innovation delivering new and enhanced propositions that help to prevent employee poor health and deal with it effectively when is does occur.
Katharine Moxham is spokesperson for Group Risk Development (GRiD), a position she’s held exclusively since May 2009. Katharine works to generate a wider awareness and understanding of group risk products (employer-sponsored life assurance, income protection and critical illness) and their benefits for employers and employees. She regularly contributes to industry and business publications and debate, and has actively raised the profile of the group risk industry with the media and business organisations.
A collective voice
GRiD aims to promote group risk through a collective voice to Government, policymakers, stakeholders and employers. GRiD’s media activity aims to generate a wider awareness and understanding of group risk products and their benefits for employers and employees.
GRiD works with government departments and regulators involved in legislation and regulation affecting group risk benefits and with other organisations involved in the benefits and financial protection arenas.
To encourage best practice
GRiD seeks to enhance the industry’s standing by encouraging best practice and by participating in industry wide initiatives such as the professional qualification in group risk managed jointly with the Chartered Insurance Institute.
