On Tuesday 21 June, BDO’s Service Charge Accounting team hosted the first of this year’s Property Management . We were delighted to be joined by Paul Bagust, Head of Property Standards at the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Paul’s plenary presentation provided an insight into RICS International Building Operation Standard (IBOS) framework, touching upon the importance of benchmarking data in assessing building performance; the provision of a new approach to managing and operating spaces through IBOS; the five IBOS pillars of performance: Compliant, Functional, Economic, Sustainable, and Performing; and how IBOS can inform planning and decision making for property professionals.
